Jacketing Products
Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Galvanized Steel Jacketing products are widely used for mechanical insulation applications, including insulated pipes, rectangular and circular ducts, and tank coverings. These jacketing systems act as a protective membrane, safeguarding insulation from weather exposure, corrosion, and mechanical damage.
Jacketing is designed to achieve one or more of the following:
- – Control condensation
- – Reduce emissions
- – Reduce noise levels
- – Reduce surface temperatures
Material Specifications
- – Aluminum Jacketing Manufactured in accordance with ASTM B209, using alloys 3003, 3005, 3105, or 5005, Temper H14.
- – Stainless Steel Jacketing Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A240M / A480M, Grades 304, 304L, 316, and 316L.
- – Galvanized Steel Jacketing Manufactured from standard L.F.Q. material complying with ASTM A653, with G90 coating designation.
Available Thickness
Jacketing thickness ranges from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm, depending on project requirements.
DVAC recommends the use of Aluminum Stucco Embossed finish for the jacketing of chilled water pipes to enhance durability and corrosion resistance.
