Fire Dampers are designed to automatically close in the event of fire, preventing the spread of flames and smoke between compartments through duct openings in walls, partitions, or floors.

They are installed where air ducts penetrate fire‑rated barriers, in accordance with NFPA 90A – Standard for the Installation of Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems.
